Susquehanna River Native American Petroglyphs Trip

located in the Susquehanna River, in southern York county

June 14, 2014

(Rain date: Saturday, June 21, 2014)

Trip details:

1) Meet at Starbucks at at I-83 and Rt.30 at 8:45 AM and proceed to the Otter Creek boat launch on west bank of Susquehanna River, southern York county;

2) Depart Starbuck's at 9:00 AM and arrive at boat launch at 10:00 AM;

3) Paddle about three (3) miles upstream to petroglyphs, arriving about 12:30;

4) 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM view petroglyphs and eat lunch at nearby island;

5) Depart petroglyph area around 2:00 PM and paddle back downstream arriving at take-out by 3:30 PM;

6) Load boats and arrive at Indian Steps Museum by 4:00 PM

7) Tour Indian Steps Museum from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

8) Optional Dutch-treat dinner Wright's Restaurant.

Bring friends, a lunch and drinks, lines to tie boats off, sponge, and good spirits!!!!
